Bar/Bat Mitzvahs

The band has been playing regularly at The Edison Ballroom, The Waldorf and The Marriot Marquee, Swing 46 and has also played all over the country. Now, back at his home base in New York City, the band will be playing at Columbus72 on the first Thursday of every month. The band will be playing both East and West Coast swing, Fox Trot, Latin, Rhumba, Tango, Jitter Bug, and more. Don’t worry about not having a partner, there will be plenty of available dancers around. During the breaks, one of New York’s top dj’s will spinning the best of the classics; Disco, Hustle and more.

NEW Live Bands & Latin Fusion after work Fridays

New York’s longest running Latin after work party.

Our Latin fusion after work Fridays are fantastic. DJ Woodyspins the best World class music mix. From 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM the djs play a Latin Fusion mix of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Brazilian, Reggaeton.

We offer 2 for 1 drinks from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, and Free Salsa Lessons! plus a complimentary buffet at 6:00. General admission is $10.00

The band plays at 10:00 PM. After that, the second room opens for Dancing After Dark with a top 40’s DJ spinning R&B, Hip Hop, House, Disco, and the classics.

Columbus72 is the best place to chill after a long week at the office, no hassles, great people, and excellent music from New York’s top djs.

The Party is good when you party with Wood…. Superstar Dj Woody is one of New York City’s most exciting dj. Dj Woody brings a blend and style of music that range from Salsa to Merengue, Hiphop & R+B, Reggaeton, Soca, Cumbia, Bachata, Disco, Freestyle and House. Dj Woody is a favorite amongst Salsa-music fans in NYC. He has been involved in the music scene here since 1978.

Birthday Party Packages and other celebrations

We have a variety of packages available. You can book your party in the Latin Fusion music room or the club room, playing Top 40’s, classics, R&B, Hip Hop and more. No matter where your section is, you can dance in either room.  Tables and sections must be reserved in advance.

Capture your party on video, free video shoot, posted on YouTube, (you must request this when you reserve your section at rsvp@columbus72.com )

• Latin Fusion After Work Fridays Doors open at 6:00 PM, one bottle of complimentary champagne if you reserve a table. There is a live band at 10:00 PM, and a free buffet at 6:00 PM, Admission is $10.00. Two large rooms with two DJ’s spinning American and Latin music. Tables have a two drink minimum and a requirement of 6 guests per banquette.

• Dancin After Dark, Friday nights late, from 10:00 PM on. Free admission on guest list on arrivals after 11:00 PM, one bottle of complimentary champagne if you reserve a table or section rental.

• Saturday Nights, free admission on the guest list for 10 or more people arriving before midnight. ½ Price bottles till midnight, and Complimentary champagne if you reserve a table or section rental .

We have hosted private events for many companies, including Sesame Street, ABC Television, The New York Daily News, the Variety Wishing Well Foundation, as well as quite a few Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations.

We are equipped with a state of the art sound system, large flat screen tv’s, two dance floors, two bars,and we are internet equipped.

Our space is so versatile that you can host an event for a few as 75 guests, or use the entire venue for an event hosting hundreds.

TABLES
The banquette tables seat 8 and have a $400 minimum bottle service purchase. Other tables seat from 4 to 10. A table of 4 to 6 people must purchase 1 bottle, a table of 7 to 10 must purchase 2 bottles. You can request a table in the Columbus Room (playing American music) or the Broadway Room (with the Copa DJ’s spinning Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Reggaeton).

THE COLUMBUS LOUNGE
The lounge accommodates 50 guests. The cost is $300 for the night and is booked on a first come, first serve basis. It must be paid for when you book the lounge. You may decorate the lounge and bring a cake if you wish.

SECTION RENTALS
Private sections are available in both rooms, the cost is $100 for 15-20 people with seating for 7-10, and $150 for groups of 20-30 people with seating 12-15. Section rentals do not guarantee 100% seating.
